Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed current issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The mutual intention to intensify efforts to implement the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan was confirmed.

The ministers agreed on the schedule of the upcoming events, including the organization of a trilateral meeting in the “Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan – Türkiye” format in Tashkent.

Jeyhun Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan's full support for the measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in Karakalpakstan. The inadmissibility of any actions against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state was noted.
