Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov met with the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev.

At the meeting, the parties noted the importance of intensifying and deepening cooperation in healthcare and medical science, and also discussed prospects for further development of cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Minister stressed that Baku and Tashkent are successfully cooperating in various areas and expressed hope for further successful development of cooperation in healthcare, medical science and other fields.

The Ambassador, in turn, confirmed Uzbekistan's interest in enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan on the exchange of modern methodological and scientific-practical information in continuing the professional education of medical specialists, as well as organizing mutual visits of highly qualified doctors to participate in experience exchange and professional development events.
