On November 13, the Turkiston Palace in Tashkent hosted a solemn event on the occasion of Medical Workers Day.
In accordance with the Law “On establishing the Medical Workers Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of September 12, 2006, the second Sunday of November is widely celebrated as the Medical Workers Day.
The festive event was attended by members of the Senate and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of ministries and agencies, doctors, nurses, professors, teachers and youth.
The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva read out the festive greeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the healthcare workers.
As noted in the greetings of the Head of the state, “Our people see in you the representatives of an honorable profession who have dedicated their lives to a very important and responsible cause of protecting people’s health, and appreciates your hard work, in which you invest all your knowledge and experience, talent and skill”.
Evidence of this is the fact that in accordance with the Presidential Decree, a group of medical workers was awarded high awards of the country.
At the event, these awards were presented to their holders.
Minister of Health Bekhzod Musayev noted that the health guards who have dedicated their entire life, strength and energy to preserving the well-being of our people, are always deeply revered in the country.
A concert program with the participation of art masters was presented at the event.
