Italy showcases the exhibition project “Uzbekistan: Avant-Garde in the Desert”.

According to Uzbekistan ACDF, the exhibition was divided into two sections and hosted at two different venues: “Form and Symbo” at the exhibition space of Ca' Foscari University in Venice and “Light and Color” at the Pitti Palace in Florence.

On the canvases of Zinaida Kovalevskaya, the main theme is the beautiful appearance of the Uzbek woman of the new era. Ms. Kovalevskaya worked in the genres of impressionism and realism, using paint to capture girls in different images – rural workers, a girl on a bicycle, a spectator sitting in a box. 

The painting “At the Pool” depicts two little girls relaxing on the shore on a hot day.
