Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullayev met with the Managing Director of the investment and financial company Alta Invest GmbH Eduard Bretthauer.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing cooperation in attracting foreign direct investment, privatization of state-owned enterprises, providing financial and consulting services, as well as cooperation to improve the capital market.

The Ambassador presented detailed information on the systemic work being carried out in the country to reform state enterprises and privatize state assets. The main provisions of the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to accelerate the reform of enterprises with the participation of the state and the privatization of state assets” were explained. The investment attractiveness of several largest state-owned enterprises and business associations subject to transformation has been demonstrated

The Managing Director of Alta Invest GmbH expressed interest in participating in the process of reforming state-owned enterprises and announced his readiness to consider possible projects for investing.

The parties also discussed the issue of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with both state and private enterprises of the country on the initial public offering (IPO) on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
