Defending the honor of the country in karate among women in the weight category up to 50 kilograms Bakhriniso Boboyeva, before the finals defeating athletes from the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand, won a silver medal.
Uzbekistan team in rhythmic gymnastics consisting of Sabina Toshkenbayeva, Nurinisso Usmonova, Dildora Rakhmatova and Asal Ikromova scored 155.3 points in the overall standings, and took the second place.
In weightlifting championships among athletes in the weight category over 105 kilograms, Rustam Jangabayev with results in a clean and jerk of 203 kilograms, in a snatch – 252 kilograms, in the overall standings – 455 kilograms won a silver medal.
The delegation of Uzbekistan as of August 27, takes the 11th place in the team event with 6 gold, 13 silver, 12 bronze medals.
