Uzbekistan sports delegation, which participated in the World Weightlifting Championships, held in Colombia’s Bogota, returned to the homeland. The country’s weightlifters have 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals and sixth place in the team standings.

The Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, the Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, authorized representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, and representatives of the general public met Uzbekistan weightlifters at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

As previously reported, at the World Championships, which provides important rating points for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Ruslan Nuruddinov won gold, Kumushkhon Fayzullayeva won silver and bronze medals, our talented young weightlifters Nigora Abdullayeva, Muhammadqodir Toshtemirov, Doston Yakubov in their weight categories entered the top ten strongest.
