Uzbekistan athletes getting ready for the 2022 Winter Olympics

2022 Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing on 4-20 February next year.

Uzbekistan athletes are actively preparing for the upcoming sports competitions, along with participants from other countries. According to the National Olympic Committee, athletes of Uzbekistan are participating in competitions and training camps, which are considered a preparatory stage for the Olympic Games.

They are taking part in qualifying competitions held in the ski centers of Abzakovo and Magnitogorsk (Russia). The country’s athletes are also planning to participate in another tournament of the Olympic Games system to be held at the end of this month in Iran.

Representatives of the alpine skiing team Komiljon Tukhtayev and Valeria Kovaleva are the main applicants for a license to participate in the Beijing Olympics.

Uzbekistan’s Komiljon Tukhtayev is listed in the licensed area in the rating of the International Ski Federation. The results will be announced on January 17, 2022.
