The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok participated in the 13th annual Silk Festival “Thai Silk Road to the World”. The festival, which has been held since 2010, is dedicated to the cultural significance of Thai silk.

This year, the festival brought together representatives from 93 countries and 182 talented Thai artisans who presented their collection of clothing models, including national costumes and innovative fashion creations made of Thai silk.

A special moment of the event was the appearance of the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok and his spouse in magnificent national costumes, which harmoniously combined Thai and Uzbek silk. These unique outfits, designed by students of the Design Department of Thailand’s Uttaradit Rajabhat University, symbolized mutually beneficial cooperation and cultural synergy between the two countries.

Parallel to the fashion show, a video presentation about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential attracted a broad audience’s attention.
