Tashkent hosted a solemn event timed to the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with UNICEF.
The Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva stressed the importance of continuing cooperation in the younger generation’s interests.
At the event, it was noted that during the partnership, numerous projects have been implemented to improve the quality of children’s lives, access to education and healthcare, and protection from all forms of violence and discrimination.
UNICEF plays a key role in supporting Uzbekistan’s initiatives to create a child-friendly environment by providing technical assistance and resources for implementing comprehensive programs. This cooperation has become an important factor in promoting international standards for children’s rights in the country, including the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Uzbekistan is also actively developing an inclusive education system and implementing large-scale healthcare, social protection, and child education programs.
Cooperation with UNICEF will continue in such priority areas as healthcare, social protection, education, and other key areas. Special attention is paid to creating a safe, healthy, and prosperous environment that will allow each child to realize their potential.
These joint efforts demonstrate Uzbekistan’s commitment to international standards in child rights protection and the country’s desire to create conditions in which the interests of children are reliably protected.
