Uzbekistan and UK think tanks expand cooperation

Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation of the analytical center PRISM London (UK) led by Senior Analyst T. Follmer.

On December 23, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation of the analytical center PRISM London (UK) led by Senior Analyst T. Follmer. This was reported by the Public Relations Service of the CERR.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the large-scale transformations being carried out in Uzbekistan today, the updated foreign policy of the state on the world stage and in Central Asia, considered the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation.

Director of CERR O. Khakimov informed guests about the current research of the center. It was noted that large-scale activities are underway to assess the impact and detailed analysis of the integration process within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the World Trade Organization.

The CERR leadership noted that today its experts are studying the assessment of possible consequences of Uzbekistan's accession to the EAEU, as well as the impact of changes in trade policy both on the country's macroeconomic indicators and on individual industries.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to establish further close cooperation between the parties based on the CERR research program in 2020.
