Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will hold the first Business Council Meeting
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov.
On March 6, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov, during which issues of further enhancing Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan cooperation in trade-economic sphere were discussed.
At the meeting, it was noted that warm and confidential dialogue established between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov opens up new opportunities for increasing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
A clear evidence of this is creation of a new cooperation platform – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Business Council, the agreement on which was signed following the summit on April 23, 2018.
It was emphasized that activities within the framework of the newly established format will further strengthen fruitful cooperation between the business communities of the two countries, the organization of joint conferences and exhibitions, as well as comprehensive promotion of mutual trade.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the agenda and other substantive aspects of the first meeting of the Business Council and reached agreement on the earliest possible timing and venue of the event.
