The members of the delegation, led by Zafar Ziyayev, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Genetic Resources, got acquainted with the activities of the Scientific Research Institute located in Gaziantep province of Türkiye.

As is known, Türkiye is one of the leading pistachio exporting countries.

Issues of breeding and cultivating domestic varieties of pistachio trees, as well as the development of pistachio farming, were discussed at the meeting.

The delegation members also got acquainted with the activities of advanced farms specializing in this industry.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to implement joint research projects in pistachio tree cultivation.
