Istanbul hosted a two-day Uzbekistan – Türkiye Textile Business Forum.
Almost 100 entrepreneurs took part in the event.
The results in the textile sector were summed up, and issues of further strengthening cooperation were discussed. An agreement was signed to launch a $100 million project for the production of home textiles in Uzbekistan with the participation of Turkish capital.
Educational coordinator of the Istanbul Moda Academy (İMA) Gülin Girişmen, at a meeting with the Acting Chairman of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, Mirmukhsin Sultanov, noted that the textile industry of Uzbekistan is rapidly developing, which contributes to fruitful cooperation and the exchange of experience.
İMA is one of Türkiye’s internationally recognized schools offering innovative and modern education.
At a meeting at the Ecotex laboratory and inspection service, Mr. Sultanov proposed creating laboratories for testing textile products in Uzbekistan. The Ecotex organization has the ability to conduct 400 types of tests.
