Uzbekistan and Türkiye: A new stage of cooperation in waste processing
A delegation led by Sharifbek Khasanov, Director of the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency, held negotiations with the leadership of the Turkish company MT Makina, a manufacturer of waste-processing and management equipment.

Following the talks, projects worth $10 million will be implemented in Samarkand region of Uzbekistan. As part of these projects, a waste sorting station with a capacity of 500 tons per day will be constructed. Plans also include localizing a plant that will annually produce 1,000 units of specialized equipment and containers. A total of 100 new jobs will be created. The overall implementation period for the projects will be 20 years.
