Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Nasreddin Ismatullo visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

During the meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, it was noted that in recent years, relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level, political dialogue has intensified, and trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties have consistently expanded.

Special attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary relations. The importance of exchanging experience in lawmaking, promoting joint initiatives, and continuing dialogue on the international parliamentary platform was emphasized. The parties also noted the need to intensify interregional contacts and strengthen ties with local Councils in the practical programs of cooperation commissions of the upper houses of parliaments.
