Uzbekistan and Sweden discuss geopolitical shifts in Central Asia
A roundtable discussion on “Geopolitical shifts and multi-vector diplomacy in Central Asia” was held at the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) at Södertörn University (Sweden). The event was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden Nodir Ganiyev, and the First Vice-Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Akrom Umarov.
From Sweden, the discussion was attended by the leadership of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Institute for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Uppsala University, Texas A&M University (United States), the University of Glasgow, and other European experts. The participants from the Uzbek side of the meeting spoke about the main provisions of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, foreign policy priorities, and the development of relations with partners in Central Asia.
A discussion took place on the foreign policy of the countries of the region in a difficult geopolitical situation.
