Uzbekistan and Slovakia have sufficient potential to raise cooperation to a new level

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with a delegation from the Parliament of the Slovak Republic led by the Speaker of the National Council Boris Kollár.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia, in particular the issues of further developing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. It was noted that both countries have sufficient potential to bring all areas of cooperation to a new level, including in trade, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva emphasized the consistent development of inter-parliamentary relations and noted that this contributes to enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.

Boris Kollár expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted with satisfaction that Uzbekistan has achieved progressive democratic reforms in a short time, opened up to the world and has a worthy and strong place in the world community. He also supported strengthening the powers of Uzbekistan’s Parliament in the process of constitutional reforms.

Views were exchanged between representatives of relevant committees of parliaments on constant interaction in trade, economics, investment, innovation, banking, financial, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
