The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, received a delegation led by the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Singapore, Seah Kian Peng.

The delegation members emphasized that friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Singapore have reached a new level due to the visits of the leaders of the two countries.

During the productive dialogue, the focus was on the collaborative efforts in strengthening ties between parliaments, science and education issues, trade-economic and public administration spheres, training highly qualified personnel, and partnership in the fight against corruption.

It was noted that active interparliamentary cooperation is one of the essential mechanisms for developing relations between the two countries at all levels.

It was decided that practical cooperation between the parliamentary committees should be established, and the activities of the friendship groups accelerated.
