On May 21, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance were considered.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the progress of implementation of the agreements reached following the summit meetings and the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.

Particular attention was paid to increasing trade turnover, implementing cooperation projects between leading enterprises, and promoting cultural and humanitarian exchange programs, including through intensifying interregional contacts.
