A parliamentary delegation led by Nuriddin Ismailov, Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited Islamabad.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The sides reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, with a particular focus on the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that Uzbekistan is a reliable strategic partner for Pakistan and highly praised the country’s large-scale reforms.

The parties noted that Uzbekistan – Pakistan inter-parliamentary ties are reaching a new qualitative level. They highlighted the need for exchanging experience in lawmaking and expanding the activities of friendship groups.
