Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi.

At the meeting, issues of developing and strengthening trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian, and inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries were discussed.

The parties noted that the level of mutual trade turnover does not reflect the full potential of cooperation and expressed their readiness to intensify entrepreneurs’ joint business projects.

Views were exchanged regarding the further enhancing collaboration in science, education, culture, and tourism between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to intensifying interparliamentary dialogue through mutual visits, exchange of experience, and establishing close ties between the relevant committees of the legislative bodies of both countries.

Following the meeting, the diplomat confirmed her readiness to use all opportunities and potential to further develop bilateral relations.
