Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with Matilda Bogner, the Regional Representative of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia (OHCHR).

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the current state and prospects for developing interaction between Uzbekistan and OHCHR were reviewed. OHCHR representatives were informed about the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years, including in human rights and freedoms, promotion of gender equality, comprehensive development of youth, and the complete eradication of forced and child labor.

The parties also discussed the progress of implementation of previously reached agreements and the development of joint programs and projects with the UN and its institutions.
