On May 8, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov met with the delegation of the Republic of Lithuania led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius.

As reported by the Press Service of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attention at the meeting was paid to further improvement of activity of groups on cooperation in the parliaments of the two countries, as well as importance of the role of the member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, the chairman of the inter-parliamentary group on relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan Valerijus Simulik in further inter-parliamentary cooperation was noted.

In his turn, Linas Linkevičius emphasized Uzbekistan’s role in the international arena, which actively strives for comprehensive development of the country and this causes a positive response from the world community.

The conversation took place in a constructive spirit and friendly atmosphere.
