Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov met with a delegation led by Koji Terajima, Regional Director for CIS countries at Panasonic, a Japanese corporation.

The parties exchanged views on ongoing efforts to develop the green economy in Uzbekistan, as well as plans in this field. They also discussed support for green transformation processes and the implementation of advanced projects.

At the meeting, the parties considered issues related to using green energy sources for heating social facilities and buildings and explored opportunities in this area.

Measures were also proposed to enhance the energy efficiency of buildings and to introduce modern environmentally friendly technologies in this area, including the extensive use of heat pumps and energy-saving technologies.

Views were exchanged regarding the effective use of advanced technologies for saving and purifying drinking water.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and expand the exchange of ideas to develop this sector.
