Uzbekistan and Japan intend to deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, met with the Member of the House of Representatives, former Minister of Reconstruction Hiromichi Watanabe.

Hiromichi Watanabe was informed about measures planned to be implemented in Uzbekistan in the Year of Support for Youth and Business and the results of the ongoing reforms.

Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe noted that the President of Uzbekistan launched the system of ensuring peace and stable development in Central Asia, establishing good-neighborly relations, and solving mutual problems through constructive dialogue.

It was emphasized that the visit of the delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov to Japan on March 6-8 was very effective and fruitful. It enhanced and developed multifaceted relations.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
