The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov met with the Deputy State Secretary of Agriculture of Hungary Oszkár Ökrös to discuss prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The parties expressed interest in enhancing the partnership, implementing previously adopted agreements, and considering new joint projects.

Agreements were reached on the exchange of experience and technologies in agriculture to increase production and improve the quality of Uzbek agricultural products, as well as processed products, including the cultivation of vegetables, and fruits and the production of dairy and meat products.

Special attention was paid to attracting grant funds and technical assistance for landscaping the Aral Sea region and developing fisheries in Uzbekistan.

The Hungarian side also expressed its readiness to organize mutual visits of delegations from the two countries, which will include officials and representatives of the business community for a more detailed discussion of cooperation and the development of joint projects.
