The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov, met with SUEZ Group Interim Co-CEO & Chief Operating Officer Water, Pierre Pauliac.

Issues related to improving water supply and wastewater treatment systems were discussed at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the public-private partnership project in Surkhandarya region and plans to modernize Tashkent’s water supply system. The parties stressed the importance of introducing innovative technologies and sustainable water resource management solutions.

The prospects for cooperation on the development of educational programs for students of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and training of qualified specialists, as well as joint projects aimed at ensuring environmental safety and sustainable development of the region were considered.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in drinking water supply, wastewater treatment, and effective water resources management.
