Uzbekistan and Belize establish diplomatic relations

A Joint Communiqué on establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belize has been signed in New York City.

The document was signed by the Permanent Representatives of Uzbekistan to the UN, Ulugbek Lapasov, and Belize, Carlos Fuller, on behalf of the governments of the two countries.

The parties expressed a strong interest in strengthening cooperation within international organizations, including the UN and its specialized agencies.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify the interaction to find mutually beneficial areas of bilateral partnership. Located in Central America, Belize became the 147th state with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations.

On March 5, in New York City, a Joint Communiqué on establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein was signed.
