Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh in the textile sector is rapidly developing.
The Uzbekistan delegation is actively adopting the experience of producing finished products in factories in Bangladesh. A meeting was held between the leaders of the Beximco Group and representatives of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association.
The company’s CEO, Syed Hussain, expressed interest after familiarizing himself with the development results and potential of Uzbekistan’s textile industry. He noted the advantages of Uzbekistan manufacturers in the global textile industry, especially emphasizing the possibility of duty-free export to European and CIS markets. This facilitates the rapid export of goods from Uzbekistan to Europe in only 10 days.
The parties came to essential agreements. The possibilities of creating a joint mega-production in Uzbekistan for manufacturing ready-made clothing under well-known brands, implementing an investment project for the production of kenaf fiber and finished products from it, as well as using the experience of Beximco in the production of yarn and knitwear with the involvement of Bangladeshi technologists and designers to increase the efficiency and quality of production processes in factories in Uzbekistan will be considered.
