The delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Agrarian University and Gallaaral Technical College of Jizzakh region is on a working visit to the United States.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during the trip, organized as part of the project “Transforming agricultural schools into modern education institutions”, the participants visited Ridley College in Los Angeles. After meeting with the leadership, the delegation was invited to get acquainted with the modern animal husbandry complex, intensive and traditional gardens, laboratories, occupying 60 hectares of the technical campus.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of bilateral curricula and educational programs, advanced training of teaching staff, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.

Uzbekistan delegation also visited the largest private intensive garden in Los Angeles. The garden, founded in the 19th century, grows grapes and peaches, supplying local and European markets with quality fruits. The host provided information about the modern methods of organizing such intensive gardens, in particular, planting and watering systems.
