Within the framework of the International Aviation and Logistics Forum held in Tashkent, negotiations were held between the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports, Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev, and the Director of Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Teymur Hasanov.

The parties discussed modernizing the airports' infrastructure in both countries and introducing environmental, energy-saving, and digital technologies to improve passenger comfort and safety.

It was noted that the development of airports is an integral part of the strategy of sustainable growth of the transport system and plays a vital role in strengthening the transit potential of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Special attention was paid to issues related to obtaining the international Skytrax rating. The Azerbaijani side shared its experience, noting that Heydar Aliyev International Airport has already completed certification and is ready to assist Uzbekistan Airports in passing a similar procedure.

In Baku, the delegation from Uzbekistan Airports is studying the organization of work and infrastructure solutions for the airport, which are planned to be adapted and implemented at airports in Uzbekistan.
