Uzbekistan, Afghanistan sign Memorandum of Understanding in Education

The MOU has been signed during the visit of Afghanistan Government delegation to Tashkent.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan on sending Afghan students to Uzbekistan for education has been signed during the visit of Afghanistan Government delegation to Tashkent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Head of the Administration of the President, Mohammad Shaker Kargar have taken part at the event.

The signed Memorandum also defines the conditions and procedure for cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries, including the exchange of educational and methodological materials, mutual participation of specialists from both states in educational events, interaction in research work and joint preparation of publications and articles in scientific journals.

The agreement on further interaction in education and cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries was reached during the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan in October this year.
