Uzbekistan achieves GDP growth in 2020

Uzbekistan State Statistics Committee provided some data on the socio-economic development of the country for January/December 2020.

In 2020, the population increased by 653.7 thousand people, amounting to 34 million 558.9 thousand people as of January 1, 2021.

The growth rate of GDP volumes decreased from 105.8% in 2019 to 101.6% in 2020.

The World Bank experts give an optimistic forecast for the coming year, predicting the growth of the country’s economy by 4.3 percent.
