Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy will be updated, taking into account global challenges
13:13 / 2026-01-23

The Evening Bishkek has published an article by Eldor Tulyakov, the Executive Director of the Development Strategy Centre in Tashkent. The publication notes that the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy is adapting to the rapid changes in the global economy, technology, and international processes. According to the author, the need to improve the key program document is conditioned by the new conditions and demands of society, as well as the tasks of further shaping the New Uzbekistan.

As the expert noted, the updated strategy is based on the principle set forth by the Head of State: “Government agencies must serve the people”. In the new version, this thesis is filled with specific mechanisms: performance indicators are reviewed, responsible departments are assigned to each task, and funding sources are made more transparent.

Special emphasis is placed on results orientation, accountability, and digitalization of the strategy execution monitoring system. It is also emphasized that the updated strategy should be understandable and tangible for every citizen.

This document is based on broad public consultations and is submitted for public discussion to take into account the real needs of the population and the proposals of the expert community.

According to Eldor Tulyakov, only a strategy that reflects public opinion and aims to improve people’s well-being can be genuinely effective and viable.
