Uzbekfilm Film Concern plans to shoot a film based on the work of Khayriddin Sultan called “The Great Emir and Donna Maria”.

The directors of the film are Jahongir Kosimov and Yolkin Tuychiyev. According to the Director of the film Akhmat Unarbayev, preparations for the filming process are currently being carried out. Locations for filming are being selected and conditions are being studied.

Filming of “The Great Emir and Donna Maria” will begin at the end of 2022.

The creators of the film visited Türkiye to get acquainted with the scenery, landscape and places of occurrence of historical events. Negotiations are currently underway with Spanish and Hungarian officials to shoot the film. 

The film will show historical and current events. The historical part of the story will be filmed in Hungary, Türkiye, and the events that are currently taking place – in Spain, Japan and Uzbekistan.
