The story of a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, the famous writer Quchqor Norqobil “Grandfather Chingachguk” was published in the “Novaya Nemiga Literaturnaya” (New Literary Nemiga) magazine, published in Belarus, and the story “Kindness will save us” was published in the newspaper “In Our View” of Saint Petersburg.
Through artistic means, these works reveal such inherent traits of the Uzbek people as kindness, generosity, and philanthropy, and most importantly, reflect national characteristics.
Quchqor Norqobil was born on March 5, 1968, in the village of Muminkul, Oltinsoy district, Surkhandarya region. In 1992, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University – the current National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
His poetry collections “Crying Beyond the River”, “I Was Not Eighteen”, “Who Will Wake Up the Sun?”, “Poppy in the Palm” have been published. He translated the prose works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Yesenin, and Yevtushenko into Uzbek.
In 2001, Quchqor Norqobil was awarded the “Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan” title. Several of the writer’s books have been published abroad.
