On May 22, Mexico hosted the professional boxing championships. Rio Olympics champion Hasanboy Dusmatov and Asian champion, World Championships winner Iqboljon Kholdorov took part in the duels.

Iqboljon Kholdorov, who competes in the welterweight division, played a full six rounds against his experienced Mexican opponent Ramon Barajas and became the winner.

Hasanboy Dusmatov, competing in the first lightweight category of professional boxing (48.8 kg), faced the host country’s representative Moises Gutierrez. His opponent had ten fights in the professional ring and won seven of them. The duel of athletes of eight rounds stopped in the third round due to a technical knockout of Dusmatov’s opponent. The Uzbek boxer was announced the winner.

Hasanboy Dusmatov celebrated his fifth victory in professional boxing, and Iqboljon Kholdorov – the third.
