The Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry hosted a dialogue with the leadership of the German company Giesecke & Devrient Currency Technology, dedicated to the use of Uzbek silk in the manufacture of securities and banknotes.

It was noted that the State Production Association “Davlat Belgisi” under the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan cooperates with the above-mentioned German company.

The parties discussed the issues of further strengthening cooperation, the use of Uzbek silk in the manufacture of European securities. The guests were informed about securities in which silk was used. Representatives of Germany showed interest in the quality of Uzbek silk.

It should be noted that the quality of Uzbek silk ranks third in the world after Chinese and Indian.
