Uzbek Pilaf Day organized at OSCE Secretariat
12:42 / 2022-02-27

The Embassy of Uzbekistan, following the national tradition, organized the Uzbek Pilaf Day at the OSCE Secretariat on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's accession to the OSCE.

Uzbekistan has been a member of the OSCE since February 26, 1992.

The Uzbek Pilaf Day was attended by OSCE leadership, including the OSCE Secretary General, the Representative on Freedom of the Media, the Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and other directors, as well as members of the Secretariat.

The visitors got acquainted with Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, the large-scale reforms being carried out in the industry, as well as the conditions created in the country for foreign tourists.

The Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Roberto Montella, highly appreciated the current dynamics of the ongoing reforms in the country.

The participants emphasized that in the current situation, when there is an increase in contradictions and a decrease in the level of trust in the OSCE space, the event organized by Uzbekistan has become a positive event that can create a friendly atmosphere within the organization.

At the event, the results of the joint work of Uzbekistan and the OSCE over the past period and promising areas of cooperation were presented.
