11:11 / 2025-10-24

As part of the opening of the Central Asian Society Club, a spiritual enlightenment event was held at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest on the occasion of Uzbek Language Day.

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary, who spoke in detail about the vital role of the Uzbek language in preserving the nation’s spirituality, national identity, and cultural heritage, and in their transmission from generation to generation, attended the event. The importance of such events for the popularization of the Uzbek language at the international level, the development of intercultural dialogue, and the strengthening of friendly relations between peoples was also emphasized.

The event was actively attended by Uzbekistan students studying in this country, professors and teachers of ELTE, and representatives of the local academic community. Uzbekistan students shared their experience of learning and applying the Uzbek language in practice. Hungarian scientists and specialists exchanged views on the interest in the Uzbek language and culture, as well as on the prospects for scientific-educational cooperation between the two countries.

As part of the event, the guests were treated to dishes from Uzbek cuisine. During the cultural part of the event, guests were introduced to traditions, national music, and dances.

Uzbek Language Day at ELTE University has become another step towards promoting Uzbek culture and language in Hungary. The event contributed to deepening cultural and scientific cooperation and strengthening friendly relations between the two peoples.

The high level of organization further strengthened Uzbekistan’s positive image in Europe and laid a solid foundation for future joint initiatives in culture, education, and enlightenment.
