The grand opening ceremony of the Uzbek Language and Culture Center named after Alisher Navoi took place at Bursa Uludağ University in Türkiye.

Rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, academician Shukhrat Sirojiddinov welcomed the participants of this historical event and noted that this center was opened on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He also noted that a representative office of the Turkish Yunus Emre Foundation is expected to open in Uzbekistan soon.

The center will be provided with the necessary resources to offer to young scientists, historians, and ethnographers who conduct scientific research on ancient and modern Turkic languages and the literature of the Turkic peoples. It will facilitate the exchange of experience between teachers and students of the two universities.

At the same time, all opportunities will be created here to receive extensive information about Uzbekistan, its history, present, and future.

The Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi donated more than 200 scientific, artistic and popular books, objects of Uzbek folk applied art, and musical instruments to the center.

The participants agreed that from now on, this center will regularly host Uzbekistan Culture Days, meetings of Uzbek scientists and poets, writers, and representatives of art, as well as various lectures on the present and future of New Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the two countries emphasized that the center is essential in bringing cultures closer together and exchanging experiences between educational institutions.
