Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed issues of further enhancing and strengthening the special strategic partnership between the two countries, including through the promotion of parliamentary diplomacy.

The South Korean side highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years to modernize all spheres of the country’s life.

Views were exchanged on the wide celebration of the upcoming historical dates – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 85th anniversary of the ethnic Koreans living in Uzbekistan in 2022.
