Uzbek films receive recognition at the international festivals

The documentary film “Matonat” (“Courage”), shot by Film Studio of Documentary and Chronicle Films SUE, by the order of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, received an award at a film festival held by the Artemis Distributors Association in Slovenia.

The film was shot by the Agency together with Samarkand regional Hokimiyat. It tells about the contribution of 101 of our compatriots to the victory in the Second World War and Uzbek soldiers’ fate who died in concentration camps in the Dutch city of Amersfoort.

The scriptwriter is Roziq Mergenbayev, film director – Shukhrat Makhmudov, producer – Firdavs Abdukhalikov, cameramen – Rifkat Ibragimov, Rustam Magadiyev, artist – Bektosh Rajabov, composer – Dmitry Yanov-Yanovsky.

The film “A taste of the Sun” (“Quyosh tami”), shot by the Cinematography Agency in cooperation with Sputnik Vostok Production Company, will take part in an international film festival in the nomination “Skillful use of location” for Makers & Shakers AWARDS 2021.

Winners will be announced at the awarding ceremony, which will be held on December 8 this year in London. The film is directed by Eldar Salavatov, general producer – Firdavs Abdukhalikov, cameraman – Bakhodir Yuldashev, artist – Yuri Fomenko, producer – Alexander Kessel, film director – Tatyana Sulyaeva.

The film “A taste of the Sun”, shot in the genre of family fantasy, tells about a Moscow family who became a participant in amazing adventures during a trip to Uzbekistan.
