Azerbaijan hosted the closing ceremony of the 3rd Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival.

Director Muzaffarkhon Erkinov won the nomination for “Best Screenplay” (for the feature film “Abdulla Aripov”), and director Shukhrat Makhmudov won the nomination “Best Documentary Film” (for the film “Mening Doiram”).

The film festival featured 32 feature, documentary and animated films created in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Gagauzia (Moldova), Tatarstan, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chuvashia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Tuva and Bashkiria.

According to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the next film festival will be held in 2024 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
