Uzbek Cinema Days are taking place in Astana.

As part of the event, a screening of the feature film Abdulla Oripov, directed by Muzaffarkhon Erkinov, was held. The film was filmed by order of the Cinematography Agency.

A meeting was also held with the participation of the Chief Specialist of the Cinematography Coordination Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Otabek Jurayev, Director of the Cinematography Development Center Furkat Usmanov, head of the International Relations Department of the Cinematography Development Center Sayyora Khudoyberdiyeva, film actor and director Samidkhon Lutfullayev and Chairman of the State Center for Support of National Cinema of Kazakhstan Kurmanbek Zhumagali.

According to the Cinematography Agency, at the meeting, the project of the feature film “Al Farabi” was discussed, which is planned to be filmed in cooperation between filmmakers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The Uzbekistan delegation invited Kazakh filmmakers to the 16th Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”, which will be held in Tashkent in September. An agreement was also reached on cooperation in all areas.
