Uzbekistan national karate team member Doston Otabolayev won a gold medal at WKF World Karate Championships in Dubai.

The Uzbek athlete fought in the weight category up to 75 kg and won a convincing victory over Abdullah Abdulaziz from Egypt.

About 1,000 athletes from 104 countries of the world participated in the championships. 15 karate fighters defended the honor of Uzbekistan at the championships.
