An exhibition of works by academicians of the national art academies of the CIS “The Art of the Commonwealth – 2023” was opened within the framework of the symposium “The Commonwealth of Academic Arts: History and Modernity”, which takes place in Saint Petersburg.

The main objective of the cultural and exhibition project is to unite the national cultural institutions of the CIS countries in the name of the development and popularization of national and academic types of fine art.

The works of the Chairman of the Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Akmal Nuriddinov, academicians S.Boybosinov and F.Akhmadaliyeva are presented at the exhibition.

The event is attended by such outstanding cultural figures of the Russian Federation as folk artists – Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor E.Maksimov, academician, Professor A. Bliok, academician, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, Vice-President of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia K. Petrov, academician, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, First Vice-President of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia E. Romashko and others.
