Uzbek artists’ exhibition opens in Nur-Sultan
Nur-Sultan hosted the official opening ceremony of the exhibition “Eastern Time”, which presents works by Uzbek artists, handmade carpets by Turkmen weavers, and works by young Kazakhstani fashion designers.
The exhibition presents 56 paintings by 26 Uzbekistan artists from Alexander Nevzgoda's collection, as well as 9 Turkmen carpets and works by the winners of the Global Nomads Fashion young designers’ competition (Kazakhstan).
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Austria, Israel, South Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, Tajikistan, Turkey and the UNICEF Head in Kazakhstan.
It was noted that the gallery has become a significant point on the map of the cultural life of the Nur-Sultan.
It was also emphasized that the current exhibition shows an anthology of the development of the Uzbek school of painting over the past two centuries.
The exhibition will run until May 16.
