Uzbek artisans attend the Dussehra festival in India
The traditional international festival Dussehra is taking place in the city of Kullu in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Representatives from more than 20 countries are demonstrating music and folklore programs and examples of national handicrafts. In particular, the stand organized by master artisans of Uzbekistan aroused great interest among the participants and guests of the festival.
Wood carvings and paintings, miniatures and painted patterns, embroidery samples, and fabrics with floral prints attract the attention of participants and guests of the festival.
The Dussehra fair is traditionally held in October. Its history dates back to the 17th century. The festival, which will run until October 30, is visited annually by about 400-500 thousand people from different countries.
